City Weekly asked Annaliza Salazar of Mo’s Neighborhood Grill on West Temple for her thoughts on the fifth anniversary of 9/11.nn
It’s horrifying what happened. It’s really sad for all the people that were lost and their families. It’s heartbreaking. But, to me, there’s such misery out there, all this negativity that’s out there. We need to put a positive spin on it. Something. When 9/11 happened, everybody was taking care of everybody, that was something that was positive. You had every walk of life, everyone was praying for everyone. Everyone was helping each other out. How horrible every year having to re-experience your mother, your father, your brother, your sister being killed. I just think everybody has got to put positive energy out there. It’s not going to help, this doom and despair.
