Uinta Overhaul
Uinta Brewing Company has a nifty new Website that includes a blog and social-media intergration. If you haven’t visited yet, check it out at UintaBrewing.com. According to Uinta’s vice president of sales, Steve Kuftinec, “Not only will the new Website provide more complete information about Uinta and our beers, the Partner Section will provide access to logos, sell sheets, and additional resources to help support Uinta in their markets.” Uinta Brewing Company has been brewing craft beers since 1993.

Grand America Update
The Garden Café at Grand America is now featuring “Land & Sea” on Saturday evenings, a buffet-style dinner which incorporates tableside service. Entrees include prime dry-aged New York strip, natural Sonoma lamb chops, Scottish salmon, line-caught hebi and Maple Farms pan-seared duck breast, along with sides served family-style and an array of house-made desserts. In addition, each Friday and Saturday night in the lobby lounge at Grand America you’ll find “Grand Passions: An Evening of Chocolate & Jazz,” which is a “five-course, progressive chocolate journey” presented by executive pastry chef Fernanda Dutra, accompanied by the jazzy sounds of the Joshua Payne Trio. For more information, go to GrandAmerica.com.

Corkage Fee Free
Up in Big Cottonwood Canyon, Silver Fork Lodge is reaching out to wine lovers by doing away with corkage fees. That’s right: In addition to Silver Fork’s fine wine selection, they’ve become even more wine friendly by encouraging guests to bring their own wine to enjoy without having to pay a corkage fee. That’s a savings of $9 per bottle and $15 per magnum from their previous corkage charges. I hope this will start a trend that will catch on in other Utah restaurants. In addition, Silver Fork Lodge also has a new executive chef: Andrew Rudkin, formerly with Gastronomy. For menus, wine lists, room rates and more, visit SilverForkLodge.com.
