What's the Solution?

I just read John Saltas’ “Paying Up” piece [June 28, City Weekly] and couldn’t help thinking: I wish he would put all that wit toward thinking of solutions. Any old writer can sit and moan and groan about politics, but what writer can focus on solutions with his words? Can he focus on uplifting rather than just adding to the tearing down?

As a reader, I have no idea what I’m supposed to take from that piece other than apathy and cynicism. And what good is that going to do anyone?

Thanks for insightful smart writing. Maybe put it toward something better next time?
