In 2010, X96’s popular morning radio show Radio From Hell decided the festival fun shouldn’t end with the conclusion of Sundance and so launched a February event devoted exclusively to the works of local aspiring filmmakers. The opportunity returns for a second year in 2011—but you have to follow the rules.

The entries (submissions closed Feb. 14) were all required to meet very specific guidelines. All films must be under five minutes in length. They must include a radio that’s visible on-screen and handled by a main character. And the dialogue line “Don’t you know who I am?” must be spoken. Beyond that, it’s up to the creativity of the filmmakers to create unique entries that will be judged in Best Comedy, Best Drama, Best Overall and Audience Choice categories, for whatever prizes the Radio From Hell crew deems appropriate. Help celebrate this local talent so that they might not have to be saying “Don’t you know who I am?” much longer.
