Another weekend approaches and with it comes new album release shows. Two awesome performances tonight you should go check out. --- First up, as Jamie mentioned in this week's issue, Joshua James performs tonight at Velour, serving not just as a party for his second album Build Me This, but also as a tour sendoff as he makes his way across the US for the rest of 2009 to support it. And not just one, TWO shows with a second performance on Saturday. Head over and grab an early copy as the rest of the country won't see one for another two weeks. $10 both nights.

But if you're looking for a louder tune tonight, then head over to Club Vegas as the venue plays host to Pleasant Grove thrashers Such Vengeance and their release, The Time Is Now. Word has been going around about the album for about a month now, rumoring it to be one of the best local metal releases this year. Backing them up will be Skies Of Redemption, Means Nothing and Lidsore! Eight bucks as the door.

Folk or metal, such a hard decision. Either way, its a good decision. Get up, head out, buy local!
