KRCL Spring Radiothon '10: Maximum Distortion | Buzz Blog
We need your help.

Newspapers and media companies nationwide are closing or suffering mass layoffs since the coronavirus impacted all of us starting in March. City Weekly's entire existence is directly tied to people getting together in groups--in clubs, restaurants, and at concerts and events--which are the industries most affected by new coronavirus regulations.

Our industry is not healthy. Yet, City Weekly has continued publishing thanks to the generosity of readers like you. Utah needs independent journalism more than ever, and we're asking for your continued support of our editorial voice. We are fighting for you and all the people and businesses hardest hit by this pandemic.

You can help by making a one-time or recurring donation on PressBackers.com, which directs you to our Galena Fund 501(c)(3) non-profit, a resource dedicated to help fund local journalism. It is never too late. It is never too little. Thank you. DONATE

City Weekly has already donated a Music Editor, Jamie Gadette, to KRCL 90.9's Spring Radiothon--she's on in the mornings, 6-10 a.m.--but what have you done this week? In the name of all that is heavy, make a pledge tonight during Maximum Distortion. ---

As we've said here before, few KRCL shows pour in the time and personal resources that Wednesday's all-metal-all-night Maximum Distortion does: Forgach & Cody D print up merchandise for every Radiothon on their own dime, giving away T-shirts (for pledges of $30 or more) that are cooler than most commercial stations' gear.

This time around, it's a killer twist on the classic Judas Priest British Steel album cover. Only 65 have been printed, sizes S-XXL. Call Forgach & Cody D tonight, 801- or 800-359-9191, between 10:30 pm and 1 am, make a tax-deductible pledge and get a new T-shirt for the summer headbanging season. Online pledges: KRCL.org.
