This just in: A&E has pulled the plug on The Hasselhoffs after two airings—proving there’s shit even A&E won’t put up with. Maybe TLC will take the remaining episodes ... ---

What’s new this weekend:
Supernatural (The CW, tonight) Dean makes a deal with Death to retrieve Sam’s soul from Hell—the catch is, Dean has to take over Death’s shift for 24 hours, but at least he gets to keep the tips. The other catch is, Sam doesn’t really want his soul back. As any lawyer or TV critic will tell you, it just gets in the way.

The Good Guys (Fox, tonight) Sad, Sad Series Finale: Read all about it in True TV (Item 3).

Also new tonight:
Supernanny (ABC); Smallville (The CW); What Not to Wear (TLC); Law & Order: UK (BBC America); The Benson Interruption (Comedy Central); Sanctuary (SyFy); The Soup (E!)

Saturday Night Live (NBC, Saturday) Paul Rudd hosts; Paul McCartney sings and perhaps even acknowledges the anniversary of John Lennon’s death this week. But probably not.

Also new Saturday:
Spike Videogame Awards 2010 (Spike); Ice Quake (SyFy)

Family Guy (Fox, Sunday) One-Hour Xmas Episode: A mall Santa disses Stewie and Rupert (no, not Rupert!), so he enlists Brian in a vigilante roadtrip to the North Pole to teach St. Nick the real meaning of Christmas—like overpriced, slapped-together Family Guy DVDs from Fox every two weeks? Guest voices include Drew Barrymore, Carrie Fisher and Bones’ David Boreanaz as, of course, the Aurora Boreanaz.

Leverage (TNT, Sunday) Holiday Episode: Coincidentally, the Leverage team helps out a mall Santa who’s been framed for some sort of heinous crime by Dave Foley in a Very Special Holiday Episode titled “The Ho, Ho, Ho Job.” Yes, really. The Leverage season ends next Sunday with two back-to-back episodes that I’m sure I’ll have an easier time defending.

Dexter (Showtime, Sunday) Season Finale: Read all about it in True TV (Item 4).

Also new Sunday:
Desperate Housewives, Brothers & Sisters (ABC); Running Wilde, The Simpsons, American Dad (Fox); The Amazing Race, Undercover Boss, CSI: Miami (CBS); Bridalplasty, Kendra, Married to Rock (E!); Sarah Palin’s Alaska (TLC); Gene Simmons Family Jewels (A&E); Robot Chicken DP Christmas Special (Adult Swim)

Preview: The epic road to the North Pole on Sunday's Family Guy:
