Roseanne Barr may not be America's most famous Salt Lake City native -- but she's certainly one of its most distinctive. ---
Barr returns to SLC this week to promote her new book Roseannearchy: Dispatches from the Nut Farm, a mix of memoir and manifesto that re-visits her life as a Jewish girl trying to pass as Mormon in early 1950s/1960s Utah, then touches on her rise to fame and subsequent highly-publicized episodes of craziness before she found her spiritual center.
This week, she talked with City Weekly by phone for a podcast interview about grandmotherhood, meditation and running for President.
