This just in: Fox has renewed comedy Raising Hope for a second season. This NOT in (yet): Renewals for my Fox favorites Fringe and Human Target, nor my take-it-or-leave-it Lie to Me. Sigh ... ---

What's new tonight:
Lights Out (FX)  Series Debut: Once you get past the Rocky-isms (former boxing champ retires to be with his family, opens own gym, falls on financial hard times, takes side gig as strong-arm debt collector, mulls ring comeback/rematch … whew … at least there’s no “Eye of the Tiger”), Light Out is a down ‘n’ dirty drama about a desperate man: Patrick “Lights” Leary (Holt McCallany) is hitting 40 and still questioning his title loss to the much-better-nicknamed “Death Row” Reynolds (Billy Brown) five years ago. We all know from the first mention of that “controversial” ring decision that a rematch is coming; it’s the way that Lights Out methodically (and slowly—13 episodes stretching into April) reveals what lengths Leary will go to re-prove himself that sustains the tension. If The Shield had gloves instead of guns, it’d be Lights Out.

The Onion SportsDome (Comedy Central) Series Debut: Speaking of fake sports ... How do you mock ESPN's already ridiculous SportsCenter? With more yelling, that's how. Between this and IFC's upcoming Onion News Network, there may soon be enough fake reporting to rival Fox News (I know, too easy).

Also new tonight:
No Ordinary Family, V, Detroit 187 (ABC); NCIS, NCIS Los Angeles, The Good Wife (CBS); The Biggest Loser, Parenthood (NBC); Million Dollar Money Drop (Fox); Southland (TNT); Glory Daze, Conan (TBS); Tosh.0 (Comedy Central)

Preview: How they roll at The Onion SportsDome.
