It's March 10, or as we Irish call it, "one week 'til St. Patrick's Day!" So we're going to take it easy and take in some performing arts of the theatrical variety.---

There are performances up and down the Wasatch worth checking out. Up at Weber State University in Ogden, they're presenting James Goldman's The Lion in Winter at 7:30 p.m., and through the weekend. 

At the U of U, the Odyssey Dance Theater is performing its modernized take on Romeo & Juliet, pictured, set to a soundtrack including Beyonce and Christina Aguilera. Somewhere Shakespeare is spinning in his grave, but the kids will probably dig it. Also at the U, the Department of Modern Dance is hosting its Cluster Cuss, a show of original choreography by the senior class.

At the Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center, Pygmalion Theatre Company's Well continues its run through Saturday. And The Grand Theatre's production of The Marvelous Wonderettes continues today through March 26.

The Jewish Community Center in SLC is hosting a free production of Jeff Metcalf's A Slight Discomfort, a comedy detailing his battle with prostate cancer that debuted at the Salt Lake Acting Company. And the Desert Star Playhouse in Murray continues its run of Beverly Hillbillies 90210: You Might Be a Redneck If ...
