Salt Lake City’s refugee community could use your help in donating gently used winter clothing to the International Rescue Committee’s winter-clothing drive this month.---
Adjusting to a new home is one thing, a new country another, and for many refugees, adjusting to a Utah winter is no picnic. That’s why it helps when fellow Salt Lakers can be neighborly enough to donate winter-clothing items to the IRC to help refugees and their families dress warmly this winter. Currently, the IRC is in need of coats, gloves, mittens, sweaters, boots, hats, socks and scarves for men, women and children.
Drop off all donations throughout the month of October at 231 E. 400 South, Suite 50 in Salt Lake City. Contact Shawn Strong at 801.328.1091, ext. 457 or at shawn.strong@theirc.org
