Altruistic architecture flick shown to benefit EWS

Engineers Without Borders Greater Salt Lake Chapter will host a fundraiser with the doc, Citizen Architect, Thursday, Nov. 10.---

The flick is about the late Samuel Mockbee and the Rural Studio that he established at the University of Auburn. Many folks locally are familiar with a similar nonprofit institution housed at the University of Utah. DesignBuildBluff helps build one sustainable home in Bluff, Utah, per year. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 the day of the screening. The proceeds will go towards EWB’s current and upcoming projects in Honduras, Uganda, Nepal and the Navajo Nation. The film will start at 7:30 p.m., with a reception beforehand at 6:30 p.m.
