Looking for a tasty Thanksgiving getaway? Perhaps Midway is in your holiday future. Zermatt and Homestead resorts – located in scenic Midway -- will both be hosting buffet-style Thanksgiving dinners --- on Thursday, Nov. 24, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Zermatt dinner will be held in the Matterhorn, and Homestead Resort’s Thanksgiving dinner will take place at Simon’s Restaurant and the Garden Room.

Buffets at each resort will boast abundant offerings, including selections of appetizers, soups, salads, shellfish and side dishes. Carving stations will feature roasted turkey, herb-crusted Prime rib of beef, flank steak, maple- and honey-glazed ham, whole roasted grouper and cedar-fired salmon fillet. Guests will also be treated to a selection of delectable desserts, including cinnamon apple dumpling cake, bourbon raisin bread pudding, New York-style cheesecake, pumpkin pie, sweet potato pie and chocolate fondue with strawberries. Special gifts will be on hand for children.

Per person pricing is as follows:

Zermatt: $42/adults; $19 kids 5-11; four and under free

Homestead: $35/adults; $19 kids 5-11; four and under free

In addition, special Thanksgiving lodging rates are available for guests who’d like to spend the night or weekend. Accommodations at both properties start at $99 per night.
