Dear GYA, I'm closing my eyes, and I can see a concert going on tonight ...with a musician ...whose name starts with at least one letter of the alphabet ... possibly playing some sort of ... music, am I right? Wait, hold on, I'm also sensing karaoke or possibly pub trivia somewhere in Salt Lake County. Man, being a psychic is tough. So, did I predict what's happening tonight? - John Edward

John, you're an amazing individual. I love your generalized guesses, er, visions; they're insanely accurate. I don't know how you did it but you managed to pick a couple of  tonight's events -- check it out:

Rapper and New Orleans native Curren$y will be throwin' hands in the air tonight at In The Venue/Club Sound. Currently, the energetic emcee is part of the exclusive Jet Life crew, consisting of such rappers as Smoke DZA, Trademark Da Skydiver, Young Roddy and Corner Boy P, all of whom will be performing. Fiend For Da Money is also on the bill. The show starts at 7 p.m.

Author Brandon Jones will be signing and reading from his new book All Women and Springtime at the King's English Bookshop. His novel takes an in-depth look behind the iron curtain of North Korea's communist regime and the sex trade that thrives there; an amazing tale of human resilience and cruelty. The reading begins at 7 p.m.

Tonight is your last chance to catch a live screening of NPR's This American Life. Cinemark 16 will be taking part in a nationwide screening of the hit radio program hosted by renowned storyteller Ira Glass. This is an opportunity for a behind-the-scenes look at at Glass's celebrated production as he interviews writers, performers and musicians. The show starts at 7 p.m.

Other worthwhile events tonight:

- Pub trivia with Geeks Who Drink at Maggie McGee's, beginning at 8 p.m.

- The Salt Lake Bees will be facing off with the Albuquerque Isotopes.

Karaoke at Lumpy's Downtown at 9 p.m.
