We need your help.

Newspapers and media companies nationwide are closing or suffering mass layoffs since the coronavirus impacted all of us starting in March. City Weekly's entire existence is directly tied to people getting together in groups--in clubs, restaurants, and at concerts and events--which are the industries most affected by new coronavirus regulations.

Our industry is not healthy. Yet, City Weekly has continued publishing thanks to the generosity of readers like you. Utah needs independent journalism more than ever, and we're asking for your continued support of our editorial voice. We are fighting for you and all the people and businesses hardest hit by this pandemic.

You can help by making a one-time or recurring donation on, which directs you to our Galena Fund 501(c)(3) non-profit, a resource dedicated to help fund local journalism. It is never too late. It is never too little. Thank you. DONATE

TV Tonight: Brand X, Burn Notice

What’s new on your glowing summer buddy tonight:

Brand X With Russell Brand (FX) Season Finale: The network has, for some reason, picked it up for another year, but tonight marks the merciful end of the first season of Brand X With Russell Brand. ---Me, I think they’re keeping it because it makes Charlie Sheen’s Anger Management look “Eh, not so bad.” Just a theory. Even this genius hates it, and Brand is “one of his favorite actors”:

Burn Notice (USA) How’s Michael dealing with his brother being gunned down dead last week? With a spy-informational voiceover, of course. Upside, Fiona’s sprung from jail and out of those unflattering orange jumpsuits, so … sorry about your bro, Mike?

Also new tonight:
Wipeout (ABC); Big Brother (CBS); 2012 Summer Olympics (NBC); The First 48, Cajun Justice (A&E); Project Runway (Lifetime); Four Weddings (TLC); Awkward, Snooki & Jwoww (MTV); The Real L Word, Polyamory: Married & Dating (Showtime); Suits (USA); Anger Management, Wilfred, Louie (FX)
