The 20th anniversary of the nuclear-testing moratorium will be celebrated tomorrow by the Utah Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons with a peace walk in downtown Salt Lake City.---
The 5K peace walk kicks off at 11 a.m. at the First Unitarian Church, 660 S. 1300 East, and will proceed, no doubt at a leisurely pace, to the Calvary Baptist Church, accompanied by what the U-Can folk call in their press release "the folksy bluegrass-style peace music" of local musician Bill McGinnis.
At 1:30 p.m., there will be a short program at the Calvary church to mark the anniversary of the moratorium and to urge support of the Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty.
Among those talking will be Pete Ashdown and Emma Lou Thayne.
You can hop on Trax to get back to the First Church.
