As someone who believes strongly in the power of a tightly curated playlist, I must forewarn that this is not that. This jukebox serves as a way to listen to one track from each of City Weekly’s Music Live bands of the week.

This week’s live-music selections range from a cellist all about connecting with his audience (Ben Sollee) to one of the biggest bands to take a stage in SLC this year (Theta Naught/ My Education) and an indielectronica dance party (The Octopus Project) to a new roots collective (Birds of Chicago). There’s only one week till Thanksgiving, when many bands call it a wrap for the tour year, so go occupy a venue.
