Give and Take at a Charity Holiday Swap Saturday

This holiday season, think reduce, reuse and recycle at this charity event ,where you drop off gift items you don’t need and pick up ones you do.---

The International Rescue Committee works to help refugees settled into Salt Lake City truly get settled with job and school assistance, among other services. This holiday season, the IRC is holding its annual swap to help bring gifts and supplies to new refugee families, as well as offer the chance for anyone else to give and to get in return. All you need to do is drop something off you don’t need ,like books, music kitchen items, jewelry, school supplies clothing, etc.

But don’t drop off furniture, since the event has no place to store it.

Then ,you just pick up anything you see that you might need ,and whatever’s not taken at the end of the day is donated to the IRC to go to needy refugee families.

Check it out, at the First Unitarian Church, 569 S. 1300 East, Saturday, Nov. 17, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
