Dear GYA, Sure, it's unseasonably warm out there, but the jury is still out on climate change. I like to think of it as one of those things that we'll never understand, like where the heck does hail come from, you know? What is lightning, really? And why does the outside of a tall glass of lemonade get all wet on a hot summer day? These types of questions only jumble up the mind. Anything happening today that I can wrap my head around? - Sterling Poulson, KUTV 2 Meteorologist---

Sterling, You're right. If scientists can't answer these brain-busting questions, how can we trust them when it comes to climate change? Here are some down-to-earth, simple options for your day:

The Aquabats will be onstage at The Depot tonight. Part of the band's shtick is performing as live-action superheroes hellbent on saving rock & roll and kids from extreme boredom. Whether you're going to this show or not, at least play their awesome video for free right here. The show starts at 7 p.m.

The Grand Theatre is hosting A Diva Holiday this evening.  Enjoy a night of the best local voices belting out your favorite Christmas tunes, including MacKenzie Seiler, Erica Walters, Alicia Washington, Erica Hansen and Detorea Oliver. The show starts at 7:30 p.m.

Legendary country singer Kinky Friedman will be at The State Room. Friedman's resume includes penning a book with Willie Nelson, performing on SNL in 1976, running for governor of Texas in 2006 and starting his own line of high-end cigars. Oh, he's also one hell of a country singer. The doors open at 8 p.m.

A few more options for your day:

- Lumpy's Downtown will be hosting Geeks Who Drink pub trivia tonight at 8 p.m.

- Heber Valley Railroad has opened up its annual North Pole Express. For more info on the fantastic Christmas train, click here.

- The Thursday night Historic Pub Crawl kicks off at 5:30 p.m.
