Dear GYA, Sure, it's unseasonably warm out there, but the jury is still out on climate change. I like to think of it as one of those things that we'll never understand, like where the heck does hail come from, you know? What is lightning, really? And why does the outside of a tall glass of lemonade get all wet on a hot summer day? These types of questions only jumble up the mind. The Aquabats will be onstage at The Depot tonight. Part of the band's shtick is performing as live-action superheroes hellbent on saving rock & roll and kids from extreme boredom. Legendary country singer Kinky Friedman will be at The State Room. Friedman's resume includes penning a book with Willie Nelson, performing on SNL in 1976, running for governor of Texas in 2006 and starting his own line of high-end cigars.
