Dear GYA, I know they're kinda lame and everyone makes fun of 'em, but today, I bought a fedora at Kohl's because it was on sale. Why, you ask? Because just like a carefree child who might skip a stone across a tranquil, glassy pond at dusk -- I don't give a shit. Anything happening today where I can wear this discounted Kohl's fedora? -- Rick Dique, The Avenues---

Rick, You're a grown man, which means you can do whatever the hell you want. Even if that means buying fedoras from Kohl's. Here's what's up for today:

The Nazi-stomping, Irish band Dropkick Murphys will be at In The Venue this evening. Old Man Marley is also in the bill. The show starts at 8. Tickets are $30.

Denmark-based indie band Indians will be performing at Urban Lounge tonight. Bip Bip Bip will open things up. The show starts at 9. Tickets are $10.

Renown Nigerian Tuareg guitarist Bombino will be onstage at The State Room. Last Good Tooth is also performing. The show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $22.
