Since 1990, Old Bridge Cellars -- which represents a group of fiercely independent winemakers -- has become an important U.S. importer of iconic Australian wines. --- On Thursday, Oct. 3, Old Bridge Cellars will team up with Ogden's Jasoh! Prime & Pub restaurant (195 25th St., Ogden) for a unique wine pairing dinner.

The dinner will feature two excellent wineries in the Old Bridge portfolio: D'Arenberg and Plantagenet. Old Bridge's Mark Salter will share his intimate knowledge of the wines being poured throughout the evening.

Chef Kyle Lore has prepared a uniquely tempting menu for the dinner. The tentative dinner courses and wine pairings are as follows:

Hearts of palm & arugula salad with EVOO citrus emulsion + Plantagenet Hazard Hill Semillon-Sauvignon Blanc

Wood-fired Little Neck clams with lemongrass-ginger broth + D'Arenberg Dry Dam Riesling

Cervina venison loin with grilled stone-fruit preserves and natural reduction + Plantagenet Omrah Pinot Noir

Oven-roasted wild Alaskan cod crusted in candied red-onion marmalade + D'Arenberg Laughing Magpie Shiraz-Viognier and Plantagenet Hazard Hill Shiraz

Warm polenta crepe with local peach "Suzette" & lemon-honey-lavender gelato + D'Arenberg Noble Botryotinia Fuckeliana

Dinner will begin at 6 p.m. The cost per person is $40 for the five-course dinner and $40 for the optional six paired wines.

Seating is limited. Call 801-399-0088 to reserve your spot.
