We need your help.

Newspapers and media companies nationwide are closing or suffering mass layoffs since the coronavirus impacted all of us starting in March. City Weekly's entire existence is directly tied to people getting together in groups--in clubs, restaurants, and at concerts and events--which are the industries most affected by new coronavirus regulations.

Our industry is not healthy. Yet, City Weekly has continued publishing thanks to the generosity of readers like you. Utah needs independent journalism more than ever, and we're asking for your continued support of our editorial voice. We are fighting for you and all the people and businesses hardest hit by this pandemic.

You can help by making a one-time or recurring donation on PressBackers.com, which directs you to our Galena Fund 501(c)(3) non-profit, a resource dedicated to help fund local journalism. It is never too late. It is never too little. Thank you. DONATE

Dear GYA, I want to apologize for having a little fun behind the commander and chief last night. To be honest, I was bored out of my mind until I saw my bro Sully. Then I was all like, "Sully, you son of a bitch, I owe you a shot to the nuts!" Anyway, anything happening more entertaining than last night's State of The Union? - Joe Biden---

Joe, it doesn't matter if it's the State of The Union or your cousin's birthday party at a Hooters, when you see one of your bros, you gotta say what's up to your bro. Here's what's going down tonight:

Rapper Hopsin will be at the Murray Theater tonight. Dizzy Wright, DJ Hoppa and Funk Volume are also on the bill. The show starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $30 at the door.

Brooklyn-based electro-pop musician St. Lucia will be on stage at Urban Lounge tonight. Sir Sly and Neighborhood Brains are also on the bill. Doors open at 8 p.m. Tickets are $12.

DJ Matty Mo will be on the decks at Willie's Lounge tonight. The music starts at 9 p.m. There's no cover.
