We need your help.

City Weekly's entire existence is directly tied to people getting together in groups -- in clubs, restaurants, and at concerts and events -- which are the industries most affected now.

The coronavirus pandemic has essentially wiped those sources of revenue overnight. At a time when Salt Lake City needs independent journalism more than ever, we're asking for your help to support the continued coverage of everything important to all of us in our state, from life to lifestyle.

You can support us by making a one-time or recurring donation on PressBackers.com, which is our 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to help fund local journalism. DONATE

Dear GYA, I can't believe NYPD had the nerve to arrest Alec Baldwin for riding his bike the wrong way down a street. As I'm typing this, I'm riding my bike against traffic on Main St, blasting through red lights and yelling at cars, "I'm on a bike, asshole!" Biker's rights, man. Biker's god damn rights. Anything happening today besides breaking the law on my bike? - Stephen Radd, Downtown SLC---

Stephen, for an even bigger thrill try riding your bike on the sidewalk (hell, bike cops do it), it's amazing. Here's what's up for today:

Rapper Danny Brown will be at The Complex tonight. The show starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $21.

Colorado-based indie/folk singer Nathaniel Rateliff will be at Kilby Court this evening. Carly Ritter is also on the bill. The show starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $12.

Singer/songwriter William Fitzsimmons will be on stage at The State Room.  Ben Solee will open things up. The show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $21.
