What’s new on the tube tonight:

Undateable (NBC) Season Finale: This summer-filler comedy finishes its first season with another twofer tonight, and I do have to admit that the sitcom did improve from week-to-week. It’s still terrible, but at least they started adding some jokes, got star Chris D’Elia to take it down 13 notches and gave the rest of the semi-able cast some play. Surprisingly, Undateable did well enough in the ratings—especially for a summer suicide run—that it may even return for a second season. Again, it ain’t great, but when you see NBC’s next summer fillers (July 10’s Welcome to Sweden and Working the Engels), it’ll look like genius, baby bird.

Comedy Bang! Bang! (IFC) Just in time for the announcement of a sixth season of Community (on Yahoo—small victories, people), the lovely Alison Brie sits down with Sod Blotterman to talk all things Greendale and Mad Men (“No spoilies!”). Tomato, tomato.
