Dear GYA, While trying to decide if I should go to tonight's Michael McDonald and Toto show at Red Butte, my jeans faded into a nice acid wash, my hair is now a feathered mullet and, for some reason, I'm now wearing a REO Speedwagon tour shirt from 1989. Should I fight this feeling? - JT Booker, Magna

JT, Don't fight this feeling anymore. Go to this show. It is your destiny. Here's the best of what to do tonight:

As previously mentioned, Michael McDonald and Toto will be inspiring hoards of pegged jeans tonight at Red Butte. The show starts at 7 p.m. Tickets start at $57.

Singer/songwriter Jenny Lewis will be at The Depot this evening. The show starts at 9 p.m. Tickets are $20.

Portland-based indie-folk band Mimicking Birds will be at The Shred Shed.  James Junius and Mildred are also on the bill. The show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $8.
