We need your help.

Newspapers and media companies nationwide are closing or suffering mass layoffs since the coronavirus impacted all of us starting in March. City Weekly's entire existence is directly tied to people getting together in groups--in clubs, restaurants, and at concerts and events--which are the industries most affected by new coronavirus regulations.

Our industry is not healthy. Yet, City Weekly has continued publishing thanks to the generosity of readers like you. Utah needs independent journalism more than ever, and we're asking for your continued support of our editorial voice. We are fighting for you and all the people and businesses hardest hit by this pandemic.

You can help by making a one-time or recurring donation on PressBackers.com, which directs you to our Galena Fund 501(c)(3) non-profit, a resource dedicated to help fund local journalism. It is never too late. It is never too little. Thank you.

Dear GYA, I've been playing Guitar Hero 5 for a few years now and I gotta admit, I am so god damn ready to shred Peter Frampton's "Do You Feel Like We Do"  tonight at the Sandy Amphitheater. Do you think if I bring my TV and my XBOX to the show and completely destroy the talking guitar part, he'll let me join his band? - Craig Wong, The Avenues

Craig, if you get all the multipliers, than why wouldn't he let you join the band? Here's what's happening tonight:

Grammy winner Peter Frampton will be at the Sandy Amphitheater this evening.  The show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets start at $35.

Minnesota-based newgrass band Trampled By Turtles will be at Deer Valley tonight.  Elephant Revival and Amy Helm are also the bill. The show starts at 7 p.m. Tickets start at $40.

Post-ska band The Waffle Stompers will be at The Shred Shed. The Anchorage and American Lies are also performing. The show starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $8.
