Happy Tuesday, music fans. This week, I again experienced that moment where I listen to a musician for the first time and wonder where they've been all my life. That musician is Brooklyn-based producer and multi-instrumentalist Ahmed Gallab, aka Sinkane, and he's more than worth checking out. I'm also really digging on British psych-pop twosome Coves, and their new album, Soft Friday. Also out this week is new stuff from Vermont-based electro/rock outfit Zammuto—fronted by Nick Zammuto, formerly half of The Books—Australian rockers The Vines, and New York dream-pop trio Blonde Redhead. As a sneak peak for next week, NPR First Listen is currently streaming Justin Townes Earle's Single Mothers and Robert Plant Lullaby ... And the Ceaseless Roar.
