Dear GYA, I'm thinking about going to the Sir Mix-A-Lot show tonight, however, to be honest, I'm not really into big butts. I would say if you took the median absolute deviation of all butts I would probably fall closer to a medium butt kinda guy. Fellas, I cannot lie. Anything happening tonight for a guy that's not into big butts? - Rick Serlon, Ogden 

Rick, I understand you're point, but one could argue that Sir Mix-A-Lot's has more to offer than just his timeless classic, "Baby Got Back," like "My Posses on Broadway," and don't forget about all the great rock-rap he did with '90s alt-band The Presidents of The United States of America. The point is, you should go. Here's the details: 

Grammy-winning rapper Sir Mix-A-Lot will be at The Century Club tonight. Doors open at 9 p.m. Tickets are $20. 

Here's a few other events happening this weekend, starting with Friday night: 

Rock band Interpol will be at The Depot this evening. Rey Pila is also performing. The show starts at 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $30. 


Singer/songwriter Perfume Genius will be at Urban Lounge. Big Wild Wings is also on the bill. The show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $12. 

That guy from those Pizza Hut commercials, Blake Shelton, will be at Usana Amphitheatre tonight. The show starts at 7 p.m.

Local rap duo WE will be throwing an album release party tonight at The Shred Shed.  Dine Krew, DJ SamEyeAm, Malev Da Shinobi, FukWitMeCommittee and Gloomwalkers will warm it up. The show starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10. 

Saturday's events: 

X96's annual Big Ass Show will be happening at the Gallivan Center today with musical guests Neon Trees, A Day to Remember, Capital Cities and Phantogram. The show starts at noon. Tickets are $30. 

Singer/songwriter Ty Segall will be at Urban Lounge tonight with local support from Max Pain & the Groovies. The show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $13. 

Punk trio Agent Orange will be at Burt's Tiki Lounge tonight. In the Whale, LHAW and Tainted Halos will open up. The show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $18.

Cover band The Australian Pink Floyd Show  will be at Usana Amphitheatre this evening. The show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets start at $10. 

Sunday's events: 

Belgian hip-hop/electro artist Stromae will be at The Depot. The show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $23. 


Canadian-American singer and songwriter Justin Nozuka will be at Kilby Court. David Ryan Harris will warm it up. The show starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $15. 

Justin Townes Earle and American Aquarium will be at The State Room. The show starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $40. 

Dancehall legend Yellow Man will be at Liquid Joe's this evening. Root 80 and DJ Tallman are also performing. The show starts at 9 p.m. Tickets are $15.
