The rap portion of Best of Utah Music concluded Friday night with a killer showcase at 50 West Club, featuring a lineup of Zigga, House of Lewis, Umang, Yze and New Truth. Check out some of the highlights from the night below.

Zigga
Zigga confidently kicked things off with a one-man set that blended R&B choruses and laid-back rhymes, and featured tracks from his latest album, Big Cottonwood.

House of Lewis
From Apt's flower suit and Atheist's yarn suit to the crew's masks and audience-hyping call & response, House of Lewis' high-energy set was endlessly entertaining. They threw down tracks from Donnie Bonelli's Shakeface, as well as stick-in-your-head new tracks like "Gnarly" and "Funky Braggadocios." House of Lewis put a lot of work into their performance, and it showed.

Umang
As he performed tracks from his latest album, The Black Rose Certificate, Umang showcased an aggressive, razor-sharp delivery style and an ability to spit mind-bendingly intricate bars with ferocity.

Yze
Yze got a lot of audience support for his high-energy set that featured live guitar by Chance Lewis and tight, controlled rhymes, a lot of which came from Yze's new album, Ugly Picture Perfect.

New Truth
Producer Milo Green and emcee HQ were a dynamic duo during their set. HQ delivered barbed, hard-hitting rhymes, but Green was no silent producer as he jumped around the stage, played a kick drum and even rapped a few bars.
