On Saturday, May 21st at 6 PM, The Leonardo will host an evening sampling an array of spring harvest wines paired with a menu conceived by
Chow Truck owner and chef, J. Looney.
The wines for the evening are selected and presented by Jim Santangelo, Sommelier/Educator and owner of the
Wine Academy of Utah.
The 5-course menu and wine pairings for the evening are as follows:
Smoked almond soup with microgreens and chive oil + Carol Shelton ‘Coquille Blanc’, Mendocino 2014
Arugula salad with roasted beets and citrus supremes + Espelt ‘Corali’ Rosado, Spain 2015
“Met” mushrooms with red wine reduction + Crios de Balbo Malbec, Mendoza, Argentina 2014
Pan-seared scallop with minted pea puree + Wine to be considered
Vanilla-Poached Apricot with semi pris and goat yogurt ice cream + Quady Essensia orange Muscat
The price for the spring harvest wine dinner and wine pairings is $65 per person. The dinner without wine pairings is available to designated drivers for $45.
