Cramming in as much entertainment as we can before the holiday weekend next week, we've got four release shows just begging for an audience. But before that, we've got an awesome selection of digitally released albums with a little something for everyone, and it's a rarity to find nearly
every genre you need in a single week. Take a moment to go through the list we've compiled below, then join us at the end to see what release shows are happening this week.

The Prelude EP
The first of four release shows over the next week takes place tonight at Muse Music, where we'll see the latest release from
Operation Encore. The group isn't particularly well-known, which is a shame considering their story: They're an ensemble of musicians and singer-songwriters who are veterans and military members. The group is based out of Arizona, but they have members who call Utah home. The band
are showing off their second album,
Monuments, as part of a release show tour. The band will hit Provo tonight performing with The Real Doug Lane, Brother Chunky and Andrew Wiscombe opening. Tickets are $10 at the door ($7.50 for vets) and the music kicks off at 8:30 p.m.
Tomorrow night, Muse Music plays host again, this time for the band
Sea Elephant. This is a four-piece indie rock band out of Provo comprising Jeshua Anderson, Hayden Berg, Jackson Harden and Nathan Jones. The band has had a pretty decent run in Utah since debuting earlier this year, and
Sunrise will mark their first EP release. You can snag a copy as they perform Saturday night with Crooked Feathers and Uncle Muzz. Tickets are $7 in advance and $10 day-of, and the doors open at 8 p.m.
On Monday, Nov. 21, we have two release shows. The first is here in SLC, as we see the debut album from
Muzzle Tung. The band has morphed a bit over the past three years, going from an
electronica noise-punk trio to a post-punk four-piece, keeping partially to their roots while still advancing their sound. They've pushed out a couple singles and a couple music videos, but
Administration will be their first official full-length release so far. You can buy a copy for $10 at their Diabolical Records show as the band performs with Seven Feathers Rainwater. The show is free and the music kicks off around 8 p.m.
Finally, back down in Provo, we have an interesting kind of release show. Upstart record label
March 2004 hosts a private release show party called Temporary Days III. The show will celebrate the release of the split EP called
Lady Chips, a combination of the bands
Lady Teeth and CHIPS. If you're cool and don't start any problems, the
private show will happen Monday night with Men In The Kitchen and Mannequin opening. Be respectful, don't drink and have fun.
Love music, head out, buy local!
