In a story that made national news, Brewvies Cinema Pub yesterday won its federal case against the Utah DABC for penalizing the theater for showing the film Deadpool in violation of state liquor laws. As a thank-you to patrons and all who supported the legal battle, Brewvies is offering a series of free screenings (on a first-come, first-served space available basis) with a bit of a nose-thumbing theme.

Tonight (Sept. 1) at 10:30 p.m., the FREEdom Film Festival opens with The Hangover Part II, which similarly inspired penalties when Brewvies showed the film in 2011. Tomorrow (Sept. 2) at 10:30 p.m. will feature the male stripper drama Magic Mike XXL, with its own sizable dose of simulated sex acts.

Then next weekend, on Friday and Saturday Sept. 8-9 at 10 p.m., it's time for Deadpool to hit the Brewvies screen once again. Say somethin', DABC. Go ahead, say somethin'.
