Once Dr. George A. Allen’s Xanadu, in recent years, Allen Park’s manicured grounds gave way to a derelict wasteland. Along with the remaining eight human tenants, four winged ones—the last vestiges of Dr. Allen’s amateur ornithologist past—were ousted from the property on Monday, Jan. 14.
