Local Releases: Four Bands In Two Days

A slew of local releases this weekend from bands across the board. Chances are there's something up your alley being put out this weekend. --- First up tonight at Club Vegas, Approaching Zer0 release their debut EP. The goup have been together for only a short time, but have started becoming regulars around the scene. The EP, Drunken Soberz, is in tribute to their late friend and will be sold for just $3. Playing with them will be Blood Of Saints, Face The Tempest and Dead Wife By Knife. $7 at 8PM.

Meanwhile down in Provo, Neon Trees will be throwing  bash for their new release at Velour. Newly signed to Mercury, they make their major label debut with their album Habits. ...Okay, yes, technically you won't be able to get it until Tuesday. But the band will be performing live tracks as well as playing the polished version from start to finish.  Playing along side them tonight will be Shark Speed and Paul Jacobson and The Madison Arm. I don't have a ticket price available, so assume around $10. Show starts at 8PM.

Tomorrow night if you head over to 5 Monkeys, you can catch the freshman release from our old friends Radio Courtesy! The group has been hard at work perfecting their album, so hard in fact that there's no info released to the public about it beyond the title, Damaged Goods. So if you're up for a surprise, tomorrow night is your night. Supporting them will be Pagan Dead and Blindfold 801. Just $5 at 7PM

And then finally at Velour tomorrow, Desert Noises will be releasing their brand new EP. The self-titled work is the latest songs fromt he group after some extensive touring across the country, and as a token of appreciation, EVERYONE get's a free copy walking in the door. Or at least free until supplies last I would guess. Joining them in support will be Sayde Price and Parlor Hawk (formerly Moses). Did we mention the show was free as well? Show starts at 8PM.

Head out, love music, buy local!
