The results are in for the lobbyist and lawmaker ethics exercises for 2010. See which lawmakers are tardy and which lobbyists haven’t even bothered to complete the legislatively mandated training.---

As this week’s news examined, the administration of ethics training for lawmakers and lobbyists is inconsistent in state rules. For example there are no negative repercussions if a lawmaker doesn’t complete annual ethics training. Lobbyists could face an ethics complaint but no one in state government is tracking lobbyists who fail to complete the exercises.

That may be simple because the exercises are meant to be educational. There is no grading with the exercises, for example. The only requirement is that lobbyists and legislators complete them annually. Below are the results for 2010.

The House and Senate results below indicate date and times for which lawmakers completed the exercises. It should be noted that numerous completion times register as happening with a minute or two, or at the exact same minute. This is because of technical errors in recording completion times, legislative staffers say.
