The Downtown Farmers Market and Edible Wasatch are joining forces to host an event that brings the farm into the city. The Head to Tail BBQ features the Copper Onion cooking the pig, joined by fellow local food purveyors Creminelli Fine Meats, Liberty Heights Fresh, Ruby Snap, High West Distillery and Uinta Brewing for a serious throwdown, with tunes delivered by Matteo and the Folka Dots. The Urban Lounge hosts blues cats Marinade, along with Red Dog Revival and Hip White People Wednesday night, while Saves the Day and Bayside play at In the Venue.

Over at The King's English, author Richard Peck reads from his new novel, Secrets at Sea, at 7 p.m.
