'90s alternative group Jane's Addiction will be at the Great Saltair this evening. The Los Angeles-based crew is considered one of the greatest alternative bands of all time. Here's a little fact nugget: Their farewell tour in 1991 spawned what is now known as the Lollapalooza Festival. They're sort of a big deal. The show starts at 7:30 p.m.
Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee Bonnie Raitt will be onstage at Red Butte Garden. Considered to be one of the greatest slide guitarists of all time, Raitt recently completed her 16th studio album. Mavis Staples will be warming things up. The show starts at 7 p.m.
The Complex will be hosting its weekly Comedy Roadkill series tonight. Every Tuesday, this free stand-up showcase features some of the states funniest up-and-coming comedians. Afterward, stick around for the free open-mic session. The show starts at 8 p.m. Sign-ups are at 7:30 p.m.
