Want To Sign That Half-Cocked Utah Secession Petition?

Mad about the election results? Want to punch Uncle Sam in the red, white and blue plums? Well, now you can stop bitching about how America has gone down the toilet and actually do something about it by signing this handy secession petition.--- Created by someone named AL in Ogden, the petition officially asks the Obama administration to "Peacefully grant the State of Utah to withdraw from the United States of America and create its own NEW government."

Utah isn't alone. In fact, the majority of the United States of 'Murrika have released secession petitions, as well. If you look closely, just about every petition uses the same "copy and paste" statement found above, and also goes on to state that "the federal government is violating our natural/God-given rights. The so-called Patriot Act, the NDAA and being required to pay for unconstitutional wars are examples of this."

Because crazy begets crazy, cities are now looking to secede from their home states in order to remain in the Union. It appears Atlanta has finally had enough of Georgia's bullshit. Also, petitions are floating around demanding that states pay back their portion of the national debt if they wish to secede. There are even a few petitions demanding that citizens who would like to withdraw from the Union should just flat-out be exiled.

As you can probably tell, the White House's complaint box is filled to the brim with absurdity, so whether you actually want to secede or you just want to have a beer with Obama, it's probably not going to happen. So far, the Utah secession petition has about 5,000 of the 25,000 signatures required by Dec.11.
