Dear GYA, I love a good DJ set so I'm getting ready for tonight's DJ Qbert show at Urban Lounge by making a list of every song I want him to play. DJ's love it when you tell them what to play, that's their job...to cater to my drunken wishes. So, basically, my plan is to dance right next to the stage and yell, "Taylor Swift!" Shake it Off! Play Taylor Swiiiiiiiiiiiift! Taaaylooor!" while almost spilling my vodka cranberry all over his music playing devices. Any suggestions for requests? - Reanne Gustof, Salt Lake City

Reanna, if this terribly stupid tactic works and Qbert actually takes one of your requests, I will personally by all of your cranberry vodkas for a year. Here's the details for the show:

Scratch wizard DJ Qbert will be at Urban Lounge this evening. Jeremy Ellis, DJ Electronic Battleship and SL Steez are also on the bill. The show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $15 at the door.

A few other options for tonight:

Funk band The Pimps of Joytime will be at The State Room. Moon Hooch will open up. The show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $17.

Americana duo Carolina Wray will be at Burt's Tiki Lounge.  Buddy Jackson, Patrick Neville and Mananero will warm it up. The show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $6.

The Rocky Horror Show: Live Stage Musical! will be going down at the Midvale Main Street Theatre. The show starts at 7 p.m. Tickets start at $13.
