We need your help.

Newspapers and media companies nationwide are closing or suffering mass layoffs since the coronavirus impacted all of us starting in March. City Weekly's entire existence is directly tied to people getting together in groups--in clubs, restaurants, and at concerts and events--which are the industries most affected by new coronavirus regulations.

Our industry is not healthy. Yet, City Weekly has continued publishing thanks to the generosity of readers like you. Utah needs independent journalism more than ever, and we're asking for your continued support of our editorial voice. We are fighting for you and all the people and businesses hardest hit by this pandemic.

Chrissie Hynde is "special, so special" and she's at The Depot tonight

Dear GYA, Ever since Scarlett Johansson did a karaoke version of "Brass in Pocket" in Lost in Translation, it begs the question, who is more "special, so special," ScarJo or former Pretenders lead singer Chrissie Hynde? Though both are extremely, "special, so special," when it comes to down to it, personally, I think it's all about Hynde. ScarJo is alright too, I guess. Who do you think is more, "special, so special?" - Mark Frushler, Salt Lake City

Mark, I love to tackle tough questions like this. To be honest, I thought Lost in Translation was a dumpster fire of a film. So, without a doubt, I would have to agree that Hynde is way more, "special, so special."  Plus, she's in town tonight, so you should go so see for yourself. Here's the details:

Rock goddess Chrissie Hynde will be at The Depot this evening. The Rails will open things up. The show starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets start at $55.
