That crisp fall feeling is finally in the air, and this is truly the best time of year to hop around town seeing several local shows in a single night. People forget that $20 can get you three or four shows depending on where you go. This weekend, you'll have three shows where you can see album releases, along with one later next week. But first, we have a list of the latest local albums to come out digitally, so go through that catalog first and then read up on the shows.

We start with two shows tonight, the first happening down in Provo as we see the latest from White Collar Caddy. This is a self-proclaimed "hipster-punk" band from SLC comprising David Comstock, Mason Comstock, Tanner Page, Storm Champagne and Kirk Beckstead. Started by the Comstock brothers under their original name The Frantiks, they brought together their current incarnation over a couple of months and a couple name changes, mainly playing for the all-ages crowd around town. The Howling Garage marks the band's official EP debut, and you can snag a copy of it at Muse Music tonight as the band performs with Mojave Nomads and Sonsapapa opening. Tickets are $7, and the doors open at 8 p.m.


Meanwhile, up in SLC, Kilby Court will host the latest release from GABI. An Arizona transplant, this is a four-piece indie rock group comprising Gabi Manning, Karl Anderson, Matt Benfell and Erica Davis. Their music borders somewhere between cutesy alternative and acoustic pop, married with sweet vocals from Gabi herself. The band has released  several EPs and singles over the past year, the most recent being the Sensitive Baby EP back in June 2015. Sea Glass will be the band's first official full-length album, which you can snag a copy of tonight as the band performers with  Strong Words and Choir Boy. Tickets are $6 at the door, and the doors open at 7 p.m.


On Saturday, Sept. 10, we'll see the latest album from The Cold Year. This is an Orem-based trio featuring Matthew Skaggs, Columbia Jones and Mitch Shepherd, who have been busting their ass playing gypsy rock around the Wasatch Front for about two years now—very passionate, very loud and one of those bands that you can just go watch and chill out to. Up until now, their only release has been a live EP from when they were on Circus Brown's Not A Sideshow on KRCL back in February. Praise The Goat is the band's official debut full-length album, with cleaned up versions of what came out on the EP, plus new material. You can pick up a copy at their totally free all-ages house show (1264 E. 500 So, Salt Lake City) as the band performs with  Little Moon, Clavicles, Mortigi Tempo and Breezeway. The show kicks off at 8 p.m., and remember kids: Be respectful and don't do any dumb illegal shit at a house show!


Finally, on Sept. 13, we'll see the album release show for Tonda Gossa. This is a progressive synth-pop rock group out of SLC comprising Curt Tuckfield, Scott Tuckfield and Rob Mosher. The band has been together under different names, incarnations and genres for a number of years, with this latest version starting in late 2014. A Spectral Occasion is the official debut full-length album for this band, which originally came out on Bandcamp back in July. You can pick up the physical copy at Urban Lounge on Tuesday as the band plays with 150cc, Conquer Monster, and RS2090. This show is absolutely free and the doors open at 8 p.m.
