Fiona Apple Reveals 23-word Album Title

It's much shorter than the poem-length name of 1999's When the Pawn ... , but the title of Fiona Apple's new album is still pretty long (23 words!) and as poetically, beautifully weird as her fans could've hoped. ---

Titled The Idler Wheel is wiser than the Driver of the Screw, and Whipping Cords will serve you more than Ropes will ever do (capitalization preserved from Fiona's Facebook page), the album is apparently finished, but its release has been delayed, to the consternation of Apple and her fans (who number more than just me, I SWEAR). Apple will be kicking off a short East Coast-focused tour on March 19 and performing at SXSW this month.

Pitchfork reports that the album is slated for a June release.
